Why Do Things Always Go Wrong for Me?

Did you ever notice that some people attract trouble? There are people that have more than their fair share of problems. There are several reasons why.

Fear-driven; a headache in the middle of the night turns into a brain tumor in their mind. Fear is a motivating force in their life. They act out of that fear and actually attract problems. In the morning, they are calling the doctor to schedule an MRI.

“The devil goes about AS a roaring lion SEEKING whom he may devour.” Can he devour you? Well, yes, if you let him. God gave you authority to “trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the work  of the enemy.”

When things go wrong, they get attention from people. For some, negative attention is better than no attention. For some, there is an element of pride attached to it. Look at all that has gone wrong for me!

Stacking it up; they tend to add together all of the things that go wrong.

The bottom line is this; you can’t have it two ways. Either you are going to stand against the wiles of the enemy or he is going to eat your lunch. And it ain’t going to be pretty.

The rest of that scripture is “whom RESIST, steadfast in the Lord.”

Whatever you allow, God will allow. So, the trick is to stop allowing it. You stop allowing it in several ways;

  1. Change how you think. Don’t let your mind go south whenever it wants. Take control over it.
  2. Replace fear with faith. You can change any circumstance if you spend enough time in the Word for long enough.
  3. Change what you say. Stop ruminating over the problem. Instead. replace the problem with the solution from the Word of God.
  4. Renew your mind. This behavior didn’t start in a day and it’s not going away in a day. Start now to change your world. You’ll thank me later.
